Railcar Weighing & Diagnostics
MULTIRAIL Features
- In Motion Weighing - even at high speeds
- Accurate In-Motion weighing
- In tie/rail design elminates the costly need for scale pits
- Detection of side to side loading problems
- Overload detection
- Detection of wheel flats and wheel impact problems
- Unlimited transit speed - no need for seprate tracks
MULTIRAIL TECHNOLOGY - In the Tie or in the Rail
Weigh Disk - Our load cell in the tie technology is our highest accuracy in-motion weighing and sensing technology. Our custom, high capacity, high strength load cell is laser welded and hermetrically sealed for long life. The patented design accounts for all forces, producing a highly accurate weight measurement even at high speed.
Weighing Eye - The weighing eye is a low cost strain gauage technology that can be mounted in the web of the rail.
Less accurate than the weigh disk, the weighing eye is perfect for overloading, side loading or basic wheel diagnostics.
MULTIRAIL SpeedWeight
- Precision weights to 0.5% and 0.2% classes at low speeds
- Accurate weighing of 1%-2% at medium and higher speeds
- Side to Side and Overloading problem detection
- Load Cell in the Tie Design
- 6-7 Weighing Ties for single truck weighing
- Can be integrated to with customers databases and tag readers
MULTIRAIL WheelScan
- Detects wheel flats and wheel irregularities at line speeds
- Diagnostic Accuracy - 95% (0.2 mm defect) at line speeds
- Weighing Accuracy of 2% at line speeds
- Load Cell in the Tie Design
- 6-7 Weighing Ties
- Can be integrated to with rail car databases and tag readers

MULTIRAIL WheelScan & Weigh
- Combines Accuracy of SpeedWeight with WheelScan Diagnostics
- Single system using dual channel in the tie load cell design
- Cost savings over installing WheelScan & SpeedWeight separately
MULTIRAIL WheelScan Eco & SpeedWeight Eco
- Lower Cost version of WheelScan & SpeedWeight
- Uses Strain Gauge (Weighing Eye) in the web of the rail
- Accuracy of 5% at low and medium speeds
- Diagnostics Accuracy: 80% (0.5 mm) at medium speeds
- Side to Side Loading and Overloading problem detection
